Good for you. Man of integrity voting "FOR" somebody. When enough Americans "figure this out", we will be back on track.

Prepare to be ridiculed about "having your rights taken away by Obama". Even though rights can only be "given" away by not standing up and refusing to have them "taken".

    Mr. Loaf:

We have five weeks to educate enough right-minded citizens to send a powerful message to the GOP specifically and to Washington D.C. in general. A strong enough message will push the discussion towards the Constitution in future elections.

Thank you for being open minded. Thank you for putting country first.

On the bright side, this whole fiasco is happening just before the election. Voters are unlikely to become forgetful or distracted.

In a previous post I said that I had decided to cast my vote for McCain based on the hopes that Palin would bring some balance to the ticket and the fact that I like Obama considerably less than McCain. My likes haven't changed. Both are poor choices for office. Actually McCain being poor at best and Obama being awful.

This last show by the candidates? The posturing, the politics, the rhetoric, and the fact that neither have figured out that the general public is who they represent. What fools! Then again, maybe it's we who are the fools.

And so I'll have to agree with Loaf. Barring any miracle, one or the other of the two fools will become president. One is an empty shell. The other an elderly opinionated man who I can't agree with.

My vote will be cast for an honorable man who upholds the Constitution and works with my best interest in mind. Some here have suggested Ron Paul as that man and I can't argue. It's time to make a statement.

If more people would get off this "waste your vote" propaganda we might be able to effectuate some real change in this country.

Until then, lesser of two evils gives you just that. Evil.

If I cared about the Electoral College, did you think I would post this?

I did not say RP is going to win.

I said I am voting for him.

BTW, didn't you get your panites in a wad and then tortured us with a prolonged goodbye? Why are you still here?

Most states have precise rules for their electors. Typically, this means that if Paul achieves a plurality in any state, he will get 100% of that state's electors.

Won't happen, but it still matters for whom you vote.

I'd do a write in vote for him, but my state doesn't allow me to do so (SC). So i guess i won't vote. And no i won't vote for the lesser of the two EVILS cause i don't believe either one will change a damn thing.

Man of conviction. Lots to be said about that. I, for one would shake your hand. Not because of the ultimate outcome of the election, but because you are doing what you feel is correct.

You, personally, can never be faulted by following your convictions..no matter how unpopular, no matter how futile.

I know. I, too, voted based on personal beliefs . (It was 1992).

I salute you. You are indeed a rare, corageous breed.

    Best, Joe

Atfer seeing all the support posters here gave RP, I started a little research project of my own.
    And drew my own conclusions.

That, and John McCain's reaction to this bailout plan.

Also, the "lesser of 2 evils" finally sunk in.

If McCain and Obama are the BEST the GOP and Dems respectively can offer as POTUS cainidates, the system is broken and flawed.

I am voting FOR RP, instead of AGAINST BHO.

    thanks for asking, wsfiredude.

It is not my fault the GOP cannot put a true conservative on the ticket.

If Obama wins, the GOP has no one but themselves to blame.
