black talon?
Pretty much, its a Winchester Ranger T-series 230gr .45acp. I fired it into a 5 gal bucket of water to see how it opened up, I think it will do the job [:p]

Looks like it would get the job done. Probably put the brakes on these as they have black talons, sxt and i have no idea how many others.

That's gonna leave a mark!
Here is a couple more. The one on the left and the center are .40 s&w. Its some old rounds I had and forgot the brand/style. I think they are both Federal, one might be a Hydra-shok (left) and the other a Federal HST (center)
I see nothing wrong with either of these..

The Ranger SXT is the 5th Generation of the Black Talon. We carry the 230 Gr in our 45s as well. Have them in the 230 gr GAP, 180 gr .40 and 124 gr 9mm, and 127 gr +P+ 9mm for my folks in their off duty guns. The .45 ACP zips right through a Level IIA vest.
230 grains of love!

shot water jugs and looked very similar to that except that the petals folded out but not back. I actually got some bullets that had the petals spread out to 3/4".
I wonder where/if you could get the bullets only for reloading?
clear pictures would help[;)]
Yea, crappy cell phone pics.

Thats what we use .45 230 +P, switched from Gold Dot a few years ago. Only agency in the area to carry it, and it works well. I dont think we need the +P but I am not the boss.
as stated 5th generation, +p provides optimal penetration an expansion, after years of research and development, at first they where subsonic
