What's the deal with these ?

Did some department upgrade to a gen 4 frame and glock is off loading the gen 3 frames?

Seems weird.

Selling them apparently for the same reason a person buys an AR 15 lower receiver.[?]
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

You can custom build your upper, or you can buy just a lower for a carbine build.

Are they coming from the factory as frame only or are sellers splitting them up?

That's what I've been working on getting. I got the .22 conversion top half. Just working up the money to get a frame. Figure I can either have 1 gun and switch the top halfs, or I can get a second frame and have 2 whole guns. Wish Beretta frames were as easy to find.

God, even without a slide they are ugly.

It is amazing how much more they go for when you separate them. Crazy...

there is a big market for competition guns made with these, and you don't have to buy a whole glock, and have extra parts when you add your own slide and barrel
