....Chicken fried steak. Or country fried steak, whichever y'all call it. Mash taters, white gravy and either carrots or asparagus (if I can find enough to cut). Heck, I may as well go all the way and make some grits too. [^]

    A Bubba that don't like grits? You sir, are a disgrace to the name. However I'll allow you your twisted take on good eats. Just as long as white gravy is OK with you. After all, we've already done the....Grits: ...soul food?...or food created by Satan?..debate. [:D]

    I didnt know what grits were till I met Classic...had heard them mentioned on tv and such, but never really knew what they were...Had some and it reminds me of cream of wheat cereal....and that is a good way to eat them...brown sugar and milk...yummy..

    ...Beth....I must confess that I eat 'em with butter and sugar. Sugar on grits is pure blasphemy to any good southerner. But then, I grew up eating rice with butter and sugar too. That's one I've never heard of.

    Salt ruins them.....and anywho, I dont like salt...


    One thing I have found since I quit smoking is everything is so salty....YUCK...

    ...beans (that have cooked all day) and cornbread (baked in an iron skillet, of course)...[:p] I think dcon mentioned "a pot of beans" yesterday, and it got the better of me...[^]

    Congrats on the smoking...it's been over 2 years for me. I've cut back on the Copenhagen, but I'm not off it yet.
