Just had a problem with ink cartridges that didn't work.
The suppliers said guarantee is from date of purchase so I'm S.O.L.
for stocking up.

I wonder what would happen if you rubbed alcohol on the printer end to loosen up dried ink?

The best re-manufactured ink cartridges I have used were re-manufactured by Dell. I found them on eBay.

WOrks GREAT on factory ones.A lotta folks don't use the "color" ones enough, mostly copying text.(B&W) I have brought a few color cartridges back by laying them, contact side down on a lighter fluid(naptha)soaked piece of terryy cloth.
Then a good wipe w/paper towell will show "stripes" if it's worked..[;)]quote:Originally posted by dav1965

I've freed up some Lexmark cartridges by submerging the dry heads in about a half inch of boiling water for a minute and then wiping them off with a wet paper towel. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. At $25 per cartridge, I'm willing to try it before going to the store. [;)]
