Just put a wild sow shoulder in the crock pot

I loaded it up with onions and about 8 big cloves of garlic.Then I added a few bay leaves and a bunch of chili powder.
Anybody think of what else I might toss in?

    I used 6 chicken bullion cubes and a can of guinness..
    I guess I should crush some pepper corns and add those too.Thanks.

    i take mine, cover it in sea salt and fresh cracked pepper, broil it till it sears it in both sides, add 1 quart of chicken broth, new potatoes, green beans, onions, and half a bottle of liquid smoke, setting cloves of garlic on top to use later for garlic butter



    chicken broth instead of water, it will not flavor the meat, it will take on the flavors of the meat and vegetables, it has a quality of naturally tenderizing the meat


    i have one in the pot right now, it will be falling off the bone for dinner, any more tender and it would liquify
