You know you need to stop and take a break.....when you combine the guns like that. I have two auctions ending...and they became a big mix-up just now. I am going to combine the Smith and Wesson guns to make a set...

A tad over priced. I bought 2 last year for $325 and $265. The $325 one looks as if it had less tha 10 rounds through it. This is why I hardly shop on GB anymore. MSRP for used guns. I believe that a USED gun should bring a max of wholesale. If it is NEW in box, between wholesale and MSRP. You have no overhead except the FFL and computer time so a gun on GB, should sell for less than in your store. The price you're asking is probably what some smuck can walk in your store and buy it for.

Its your gun, so it is not my call to price it.. But sinec you asked, when I looked at the auction I thought that the gun was overpriced for showing the degree of wear that this one does..

Tiger....are you talking about the 60...or the 36??? Those are the two I combined by mistake (in my VERY overworked mind)just now, I hope you are talking about the 36...because the 60 is brand new...no ware at all. The model 36 is in WONDERFUL shape also, not worn, but a good used gun. Sitting here holding the gun, I just don't see the "wear" you speak of....on eiher of these.

The blue Python is a bit "worn" neither of these guns show any sign of mishandling.

Here are the two I messed up and complained about.....where did I go wrong??? Tips anyone????

LF, you should readvertise the 36 with the barrel length (3 inch ). Is it a heavy barrel?

i think a better camera may help, the one you are using does great macro but this photo is not very good, and some may think it is hiding something they cannot see

and the pics on the 60 makes the top strap look a bit worn, but by looking at the cylinder wear you could tell it has not been used
look at the top strap in this photo

I bought a camera the other day....FINALLY a decent one came into the store!! Its a Nikon Coolpix885...that I can't work (yet)...gonna get my genius of a daughter figure it out for me. Pawn shops have a plus every once in a while....I am just waiting on the cord to come in that I bought on line so I can download pics. The S&W 36 is not a heavy barrel. That one is my fav. of the two....I have always like the three in. rev over the snubs. I have a small pile of revolvers here....how do "lots" do when put on line together?

$475 ??? GeeZ , I must aggree , too high on this one ....ever heard of the 80/20 gun pricing , we use it as a guide , my dad used it for years , I know several dealers who go this way ......
Example : Ruger model xyz in v.g. to exc. cond. cost (current dealer) is $300 (new) , so 'apx.' value of this used one is 80% $240 , prices depend on Cond. , area market , time of year (hunting season ?) ect...
not a perfect formula , but gives us an idea of REALISTIC values ....
    Good Luck !!!

On that one I was a bit at a loss....not many older nickle guns in this shape, so I just went by what everyone else had theirs up for....at that time I was beating everyone else's asking price. The others were at least $50 more. The gun is in GREAT shape, so I tend to put the guns I like a little higher....(I think I don't really want to let them go.)[:(]

I hate to disagree with the rest of you but,I feel his price is in line.Don't forget this gun is new in the box and I don't believe (not sure) it is still being manufactured in .38 spl.. [8D]

The model 60 is new and in the box....old stuff I have held onto thinking I would carry it, but never did. The box is the "old style" carboard box....and I don't think they make the 60 like this any longer....it should be about right for the price listed. I have some blue oneslike it that are used that should sell for a little less, but this one is pretty cheap for the gun it is.....This isn't a NEW Charter Arms or Taurus.....the Smith and Wesson should be worth at least 10% more than they are running.
