time stamp ahead one hour for me

and I can't find the preferences to show GMT -5.
I used to recruit for the NRA until they sold us down the river (again!) in Heller v. DC. See my auctions (if any) under username henryreilly

    He means when he makes a post at (for example) 10:05 am, the timestamp on this forum says it was posted at 11:05.

    The board runs on Eastern time, and there is no way to set one's preference to a different time zone. My timestamp is two hours off. It's an annoyance, but not a big one.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

    I had it in my head this was a forum where you can set your time zone and thought I had lost the place to make the adjustment.

    i have done it in the past and it just reverts back , i gave up
