DID YOU GET IT RESOLVED? I DIDN'T. ADMIN IS NOT GIVING OUT ENOUGH INFO CONCERNING THIS ISSUE WITH US AOL USERS. WHEN I GO TO CUSTOMER SERVICE I AM NOT FINDING A THING CONCERNING THIS SEARCH ENGINE PROBLEM WITH AOL. DID YOU GET ANY INFO LIKE AN E-MAIL ADDRESS TO ADMIN OR ANY INFO TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM? I WOULD SURE HATE TO GO TO SOME OF THOSE OTHER GUN BROKER LIKE WEB SITES. THIS IS VERY VERY FRUSTRATING SEEING THAT I AM ON THIS SITE ALMOST DAILY.[V]

    0321jarhead,

    First, turn off your caps.

Second, I didn't resolve anything because the forums function separately from the Auctions and we here on the forums have no control at all over anything on the Auction side. They (the owners) created the forums as a separate entity and they support the forums monetarily and techically along with all of the monetary, technological and organizational parameters for the Auction side. So no, we the Moderators here, can NOT do anything except let ADMIN know that we're having a problem.

If you had read the message as posted on the Auction side you would have the information they have and then you would supply Customer Support with the information about your particualr problem so they could assist. Here is the message:

AOL Customer having Search Problems 6/29/2008 3:33:07 PM EST
"It appears that some AOL customers who are using the AOL browser or AOL desktop may have been experiencing difficulty with our search since our Friday morning hardware installation. We believe the problem is resolved but have never been able to reproduce it in-house. If you are using AOL and are continuing to experience a blank page or garbled data please contact customer service."

This means that you need to use the link in the original post or in the Auction message then select 'Customer Support' and open a Customer Support Issue so they know what problem you're experiencing.

Last, AOL is the most ardent anti-gun businesses around. This has been common knowledge for years. Why would supporters of the Second Amendment and firearms in general do anything to support AOL.

    Good Luck!

I've been having the same problem with the search engine, but I'm sure it will get resolved within my lifetime.

And since neither my life nor my livelihood depend on it, I can live with it.[8D]
