For a friend of mine, he didn't check it twice I suppose... Course he isn't around to check it any more... Died this morning from a gun shot to the head. Known him since kindergarden... just don't seem real.

Sorry for the loss of your friend.

Him and a friend of his were playing around. Not sure if he had the gun to his head, or the bullet got lucky.. He was always smart about guns though, can't see why he would do such a thing.
Real sorry to hear of the loss of your young friend..
Very sorry for the loss of your friend.
R.I.P.
Sorry for your loss. It's unexplainable what otherwise rational people will sometimes do when they get around guns.
As for the other knuckle headed statements I'm seeing, clearing the weapon is always less of a priority than handling it safely.

Bingo! Even if I know for a fact the gun is empty there is no reason in the world I would point it at my melon and pull the trigger. Just dumb. And sad for the family.[V]
I am sorry to hear you friend put himself in that situation, hopefully his family will endure and find peace.
Checking your weapon a minimum of twice as good practice.
We're keeping your friend and his in our thoughts and prayers.
Damn shame...
