Surprized there wasn't this topic already. I'm not going to comment after my pathetic post on the Denver game yesterday. Going to school in Madison about 55 years ago, who else do I follow (except the Colts) now? I'm surprized that the Giants are getting 7 1/2.
It's too late for me, save yourself.

15 degrees. I don't know how they do it. For those that think Aaron doesn't have game, just look at his footwork under pressure. Oh, did I mention the (another) hail Mary w/ no time left in the first half for a 14-6 lead?

That was a dumb play to call on 4th down...they went no where up the middle on the previous play. Sigh...it juet doesn't seem like the Packers have the same energy level as the Giants. 14-13 and I bet the Giants win.[V]

My #1 team is the hawks, but the packers are always exiting to watch and Rodgers can win a game with a 75 yard pass and no time left on the clock. He is absolutely amazing. I always watch the packers. Rodgers can thread a needle at 60 yards. He has people who can catch the ball when it's 10 below zero. Never count the packers out. I been watching them since Bart Starr

I have been a Packers fan since before SB #1. Starr, Hornung, McGee, Dowler, Nitzke, Taylor. Such a great bunch.

Today was a nice gift for Starr. His birthday is tomorrow. Same as an old friend of mine. I think he will be 83.

There are teams that surge to success for a while, but they all fade in time. The Packers are the "winningest" team in all football history. I think it's largely due to the fact that they hire and keep the best people. Once you're a Packer, you have a home. You can't be a real team if the players are here today and gone tomorrow.

They're also the only team you and I can partly own. And I do.

The last time I saw the Giants play at Lambeau, I was 11 years old. Bart Starr, Paul Hornung and company vs. YA Tittle and Frank Gifford. I suppose all those guys are retired by now.[;)]

In a way, you have to admire Joe Buck. Here's a little shrimp fart of a guy who never played any kind of sport rougher than tiddlywinks, but loves sports. His knowledge is darn near encyclopedic.

Off camera, he might be a total jerk - guys with a Napoleon complex are like that. But he's good at what he does.

3040, I moved from scenic Peoria, IL to Madison for school in '58. I never had any interest in the NFL until then. It didn't take long! Yeah, I remember all those guys. I was in the St. Louis Playboy club in '63 and in walks Hornung and Karras. They were suspended that year. I thought at the time how tall Hornung was and Karras looked like a big bear dressed in a suit!

cbxjeff-Went back to Peoria few years ago for a reunion. Agatucci's is as good as it was MANY years ago! If you are in Indy now one of our favorites is Shapiro's. Damn I'm getting hungry[:p]
