When my grand kid Cameron was 5 or 6 my wife and i gave him 50 dollars for his birthday. Before i took him to Walmart i went to Lowes to get a lawnmower part.
Cameron has been riding my riding lawnmower ever since he was about 1 year old. When he turned 4 i started letting him drive by himself. I disconnected the blades so there was no way he could turn them on. I walked beside him while he drove.
Anyway Cameron heard me tell my wife that my lawnmower was broke and i was going to Lowes. When we got in Lowes Cameron was walking around the riding mowers looking at them and asking questions. I asked him what he was doing and he told me that he was going to buy me a riding lawnmower with his birthday money.
I told him how much more money he would need and that was when he learned how much things cost.
He has a big heart.
