Chuck E. Cheese

I don't like Chuck E. Cheese. It's noisy with too many kids and the pizza is second-rate at best.

However, they really came through last week.

Dawnie is a CASA volunteer. There are five children, all half-siblings, in state custody. Mom is in prison, and none of the five dads is any good. One of them is even dead.

The children have been placed with their paternal grandparents, so each is in a different home. They are half-siblings, and bonded, and want to be around one another.

Dawnie contacted Chuck E. Cheese, and explained the situation. They stepped up, and provided the space, and pizzas, and drinks, and game tokens for all the kids, and they even fed the adults accompanying the kids. Of course, all the kids had their pictures made with the big mouse.

Kudos, Chuck E. Cheese! They really made 5 little kids really happy.

kids is what keeps them going , and great PR
I have heard many stories where they will do a lot for helping out kids in need or that have life issues, good for them to step up when called on .

Great story. I had to take my son there when he was little, and am ever so thankful those days are past. [;)]

Seems strange to me, but some of them serve beer.

My kids loved that place, like you I could certainly do without but it was good for what it was. Thankfully now I don't have to go unless one of them daughters provides a Grand Baby
And I would gladly go then.
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

An awful place in my experience, perfectly designed to induce adult headaches.

Still, that is a wonderful good deed on their part. The employees and management there deserve all the kind words for this caring act of charity to young children in need of a little happiness.

It's not a restaurant, it's a playground with some food available. Glad they helped out.

Great story David. See guys, all big business isn't bad (all the time)! Chris, as for the headaches, that's what the beer is for. :)

They're a great civic minded business no doubt and kids love them but some of the worst afternoons in my life have been spent in Chuck E. Cheese [V] I can see where it would be a great place for a single guy to meet some nice looking single moms though [8D] but it seems young single guys don't think like me anymore [:D].

    I just learned something.

Don't order the cheese pizza or any single topping pizza.

We were at Chuck E. Cheese yesterday for a birthday party, and ordered a multi-meat "specialty" pizza. They were so busy that the pizza arrived very late, so we had it boxed, took it home and put it in the refrigerator. I just ate some for lunch and it was pretty darn good.

I spent so much at Chuck E. Cheese in Anchorage over the years on kids birthdays their stock dropped when I left town.

First, good on you and Dawnie for caring about the kids, it should make a positive difference in their little lives! [^][^] I also applaud the manager of that establishment for doing good for those poor kids. [:)]

The pizza is great if you wash it down with two rolaids and a quart of Pepto. [:)][;)]

Never have trusted that Rat since I learned what furrys were. And any establishment that has a rat for a mascot is suspect to begin with.

But, good on them I guess.[:I]

Nice story. Been there many times with the grandkids. As someone mentioned, you don't go there for the food, it's for a good time with the kids.
