My wife is a teacher's assistant in fourth grade and came home yesterday with this funny story.

She was doing phonics with the kids, and one of the words was "democrat". When asked to use the word in a sentence, one little boy raised his hand and said he could. My wife told him ok go ahead, and he said "Them no good Democrats". My wife darn near busted a gut.

There may be hope yet![:D][:D]

My wife teaches third grade. I should write down
some of the stuff she brings home!

When I was about five, my grandmother
tried to teach me how to spell Mississippi.
Her good friend lived next door and SHE
was from Mississippi ... and used to go
    on how she missed it!

After a couple of days of rather informal
prompting from my grandmother ... when
she thought I was ready ... she marched me
next door to show me off!

    "M I S S A P I S S" ... both my grandmother and
her friend broke out in laughter.

The woman then said, "Yes, that's pretty much the
way I remember it, actually!" ... which brought
    forth more laughter!

... I'm still not sure what she meant ... but they both
    seemed to know!
