What kind of grass is this?

It grows really well in the shade in one area near the edge of our yard. It's perennial whatever it is because it comes back to life every spring.

And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain

"Creeping Red" for shaded areas. Very fine blades. Very fragile when large commercial mowers run over it.
Looks like Burchie picked it. From the looks of the pictures and the description it appears Creeping Red Fescue is what it is. Thanks everyone for your answers.

Down here Creeping Red Fescue is not perennial ...
If planted in the southern or deep south of the USA, Creeping Red Fescue will be an annual stand not a perennial (USDA zones 8, 9, 10).

I can post a picture from my back yard where the zoysia meets the bermuda. Looks just like that.

It would appear that some types of Creeping Red Fescue are perennial.

Here is the true test...
Notice the last line... Grass Type: Cool Season.
Did that grass go dormant over the winter or did it stay green?
If it stayed green all winter like all Fescues then it is a C3 Cool Season Grass. If it went dormant and turned brown it is a C4 Warm Season Grass.
The difference is in how the grass uses different #s of Carbon atoms during photosynthesis. C4 are more drought tolerant and generally grow much better here. Specific strains grow in this crappy red clay better than almost anything else.
Oh, by the way.... storms heading your direction. Worst ones going north of you. I got the steaks off the grill 2 minutes before it REALLY started coming down.

We didn't get any of the bad weather here this evening. Glad you got your steaks in before the rain hit.
