Search Results on Auction Side a MESS

I've dropped by the Forum here the last few times I've seen another change (decline) in the search results -- nothing ever gets fixed. Now, it's really gone "over the top" to become a new mess.

It seems the system is now throwing in completely unrelated listings to one's search-term. It looks like there is some attempt to be using a user's previous search history to show them things the system "thinks" the person will want to see -- all it's doing is giving TOO MANY results -- which means I cannot see what I WANT to see.

I KNOW what I'm looking for. The idiot programmers do NOT have a better understanding of what I want to see; having the system set up to ignore the search-terms I type is getting ridiculous!

Actually, playing with the system some, it looks like it may be doing a default search including terms used in the listings' description, even if one has NOT chosen to search including descriptions. (Sellers "exploit" such default settings and clog their listings with unrelated keywords to show up in unrelated searches.)

The result is the same: TOO MANY results; I don't get why programmers cannot understand "quality over quantity" when it comes to search, or why they think ignoring the user is a "good" practice.
