I am sorry some times it seems we struggle to just to stay even [:(]
I am glad every one is OK . sure sucks about the truck thought

I hope he had insurance . maybe you can repair it your self and have a few $$ left over that's what I do when ever possible turn in estimate's have the insurance company make the check out to me and then do my own repairs .

    thankfully no one was hurt
truly pissed me off he had to be in such a hurry and cause an accident with two infants in the car!
i was ready to sock him just for that!
then spent most of the time trying to say it was MY fault, that i was going too fast!? long line of traffic, had left maybe 2 car lengths distance as i knew all would probably stop at the end of the block
asked him how the hell did he figure 30 in a posted 35 zone was too fast?
car was insured, by the owner which was not the driver
he was cited for illegal /unsafe turn
waiting to hear back from insurance company, they called when i was sleeping (3rd this week) and by the time i got up it was 3 minutes till they close, not worth trying

    That'll buff right out...

Time for an upgraded bumper. Put a ranch hand on there.
Lots of folks will use insurance money to upgrade bumpers.

That sucks. But you can get the parts at RockAuto readily and cheaply.

    Front bumper cover $30
    Fog lamp $23
    Fog lamp bracket $11
    LH Headlamp assy Complete $62

Now save yourself $24/yr and drop that weight class sticker next time you renew your registration. Curb weight on that truck is <4500 lbs and unless you're regularly carrying more than 500# with it, you're rarely ever going to exceed 5000 lbs gross.[;)]

Well, my friend, I tell you what for sure. I am sorry that your pickup got banged up by an idiot, but things are replaceable, people aren't. Glad nobody was hurt, and on the brighter side of things, it may have been the lesson that this young man needed in order not to do something even stupider in the future, that might cost lives. God may well have put you there, in that place, in order to teach a lesson that may save lives.

I'm getting more and more that way all the time. I think there is a reason behind everything, and I am just now, at my advanced age, starting to figure out a very small part of the why of things.

    Glad no one was hurt.

    Peace

Among other sentiments, atleast it is still driveable. It looks like you need new headlights anyways, so atleast he took care of half the problem for you!! He definitely took the worst of it.

My durango is that same color scheme.

Glad no one was hurt. One of my daughters classmates turned left in front of someone on the way to class this semester. Off duty cop going the speed limit hit him. Wrangler vs Corolla. Corolla lost.

A few weeks later another student was killed when they were ejected in a rollover crash. No seatbelt in either case.
