.22 Score at WM.....and a little drama

Hit Wallyworld this a.m. to pic up a few things and there in the ammo case were Remington 225rd boxes for 11.97 each, limit 3, so I bought three. That left five for others. Two sets of gentlemen had come in about the same time as me and saw the ammo and headed back to get their FOID cards from the car.

One set of them was a couple guys I know that cruise all the WallyWorlds in the area for ammo. One commented on the way past me,
Good there are eight left so six more are ours. By the time they got back, the two other guys had grabbed the last five boxes.

The other guys came back and were P.O.'ed they got "robbed" of the ammo. As they left after giving the clerk a hard time, one commented to the other "good thing we got those 6 boxes earlier today with that other clerk".....Glad they did not get those last five boxes.

My three boxes will be gone over the next couple of weeks as I am taking a newbie out to the range with his new Ruger SR22. He could never find ammo to shoot, but now he will have plenty....[:)]

I guess I just don't understand wanting to deny someone else something you yourself wanted. Sounds like liberal logic.

Not being from Illinois or somewhere that requires a card, I don't understand why a person wouldn't carry his or her FOID around with him or her instead of leaving it in the car.

Is this card sized more like a poster or something?

    Please illuiminate me. [?]

Yeah, I did not understand that either....all of the guys looked like they were working construction. So I guess they all left their wallets in the vehicles. I carry mine like another ID or card all the time. They are about the size of a DL and actually have the same PIC on them as your Illinois DL.....

Mr. Perfect: I think it's fairly obvious that W81 was happy these guys who are obviously scooping up all the 22 ammo they can (likely for resale) were denied a score on this occasion. They are likely profiteers and I also would not want to see them succeed.

As for the "liberal" braying, I have no idea what that's about. Strikes me at a lame attempt at humor, or a lame attempt at insult, or just lame. Whatever.

Have you ever consider leaving this forum? You don't seem very happy here.

Glad to hear someone who wants to shoot the ammo for enjoyment got it for the normal price. That gougers got screwed is entirely good news too, like icing on the cake! [:)]

There are vids on YouTube and postings on Facebook of Walmart employees who are taking kickbacks from people. They will send a text to a buyer when the shipments arrive and make sure the buyer gets ammo first for a small fee. Most of these buyers are reselling it. The other group is Walmart employees buying the ammo themselves and selling it in closed Facebook groups. If I was a Walmart mgr and caught my employee engaging in this I'd fire them on the spot.

Worked retail .. always wondered why people came in shopping and when found something to buy, had to go out to the car to get their money.

Some people are just stupid, regardless of the billions poured into the public education system.

    [:(]

Now that is true, most people are stupid.

I guess the same applies to you then, does it not? Liberal logic does seem to infest those in institutions of higher learning, so I'm not at all surprised. As for my contentment with this forum, it should go without saying that I am perfectly happy here.

Just returned from the Phoenix show. There as a lot of 225 rd boxes of 22 ammo for sale. Had a lot of chores to do so I only remember one guy asking $30 for a box. Miwall/Western ammo had a 100 rounds of 22 limit and not much 22 ammo.

i think the ammo situation is starting to come around, as long as people quit buying from the scalpers. Picked up three boxes of 22 at wallyworld today for 2.47/box today while i was there, they had about 75 or so boxes left.
