And in other good news it was announced today that an new club will be opening near the office! It will have indoor sporting clays, trap, skeet and 5 stand (plus rifle (out to 100yds) and pistol ) A restaurant and a retail gun shop. The people behind it already have a very nice successful club about 45 minutes away. This one will be one mile right up the highway from the office!!!! [:p]

Supposedly it will be the first indoor facility of its kind. I can't wait. Right now it is about an hour drive or more depending on traffic to any clays facility. The other location they have also does IDPA events.

This is awesome. I too wonder why no one ever thought of this. I cannot even fathom the cost of this facility or how they will ever make a profit for out of pocket expenses. I will be watching its progress. Next year when we head to Georgia, I will be making a stop for a little fun with the family. Very cool Capt. oakie

The article says they are putting $10 million into it. This is a market segment often called "Guntry" Clubs... Their other location has a really nice bar and cigar room. Once you swipe your card in the bar, it wont open the door to the range until the next day. I have already sent them an email inquiring about a corporate membership.

That's a first for me,..I've never heard of indoor trap/skeet before. Sounds like it will be very nice when done.

I live just down the road from one of the oldest trap shooting clubs in the Northwest. If they let you use slugs, you could lob them onto I-90 from the shooting positions.[:0][:0]
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

We went to the Shooting Industry Masters last year on an awesome roadtrip. We stopped at every range or shop between Kennesaw and Vero Beach. If they had a cool range or shotgun course we shot it. We also stopped at almost every WalMart on the way just to ask if they had 22. (none did by the way, but I did score some good 9mm and .45)

Well heck, if they can have indoor skiing in Dubai, why not indoor Trap, Skeet, and 100 yard shooting in America?

Quite a few years ago Winchester tried to open indoor type shotgun ranges. I only saw one in San Diego. It was similar to a bowling alley
& they threw ice balls which you broke with a shotgun that fired brass shot shells that may have been approx. 9 mm.(Just a wild guess.) They gave up pretty quickly.
