Based on the title of a thread by Wallie:

Knowing what you know today about the direction that government officials, activists and their handlers, continue to take us, apparently without any viable opposition to the contrary, would you die for your country today?

    For my country?

    Yes.

    For some craphole country?

    No.

Define "Die for my Country". Just way to ambiguous.

Probably not, but would depend on the actual circumstances at the time and then it is Hell Yeah.

    I don't see the ambiguity.

If the country is desperate enough to put me back in uniform I don't know what good it would do but I would honor my oath.
The road to hell is paved with COMPROMISE.

More likely if it's like "Red Dawn" scenario where we're getting invaded yes. No go to Shi*hole country or some states here to fight for a richman's bottom line.

I have no idea of what your are asking to die for.

And surely you remember me talking about naming "our country" with a proper name right? A technicality with great distinction.

So asking if I would die for my country, I have not established my country in which I am the uncontested ruler, and if in such case, I would not have to die, as that would be the underlings job. [;)]

When I served I was young dumb and ....well you know the rest.

I was not in combat, I did what I was told, if those same circumstances came about again, I would do what I was told.

I enlisted, I wasn't drafted and we were not being attacked.

If I thought I had to fight today at my age I would fight here on US soil to defend this country against an invasion. I wouldn't "ship out".

I am not a warrior, I would probably do more good washing dishes for the ones who are young enough to put in a better fight, but YES I would still stand for this country and if it came down to me fighting I would do my best.
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

Only after they put a season on Liberal Democrats, or the War of Northern Aggression starts, whichever occurs first.
