What an awesome day today

A buddy and I tried to fly to Portsmouth for breakfast today at 0800. there was solid cloud over Portsmouth at 800AGL so we did not press landing there. I went and tooled around for about two hours seeing what I could see and enjoying God's glory of the earth from above. It was beautiful flying weather today.
After I landed several other guys showed up to fly so we all hopped into our planes and flew to Portsmouth for a lunch burger. It was turbulent air for sure but still fun to be out enjoying the beautiful weather while tooling about the sky. When the five of us get together the laughs and jokes are never ending. The lunch was relaxing and a load of fun.
We all toasted our iced teas to the buddies of Dave; he was in Vietnam 69-70 and lost a few good friends there. You can tell it still hits him hard on Memorial day.
