I bought some Milwalkee 18 volt power tools. I paid 120 for a light, drill, impact driver, saw zall, and skill saw. Plus the charger and 2 lithium ion batterys.

When i got home the batterys were both broke. So i took them back to the pawn shop. He had another drill and saw zall that had 2 batteries and chargers a piece.

For another 20 dollars i got everything.

I ordered 2 more 18 volt lithium ion baterys yesterday so i should be set.

dave if you haven't taken the batteries back, just google hacked battery or such on google, it will show you how to "shock" you bad batteries back to life using a welder, I used a regular battery charger turned up to 50 amp start mode. I would try this before just pitching them in the trash, just be careful and don't hold the terminals on the battery just bump them to get a spark a few times.

Don't forget to wear safety glasses when "shocking" batteries back to life or you may get more than just shocked.

I have about 50 dead batterys that i just throw in a tote when they die. For some reason i never threw them away. I guess i will have to try that.

I hope it works because that would save a lot of money for me.

    Thanks for the idea.[:)]

If you try that with a Lithium Battery you will get a fire you cannot put out.

Dave, we have a store that just opened near us called batteries and bulbs. The guy rebuilds your old batteries for 28 dollars a piece. He takes them apart, takes out the old cells and puts new ones in. I watched him do this for my dewalt batteries and saved me quite a few bucks. New ones are outrageous.Oak

Please don't try it, having a battery explode in your face might ruin your day.
