Driving to FLA from Scranton PA

Mapquest says Route 81 to 83 then straight down 95 to Jacksonville .Anybody have any shortcuts or tidbits I should know on this route. What to avoid, bypasses any of that stuff. Thanks..

    Take the West side of the Baltimore Bypass and the East side of the Washington Bypass.

    Depending on the time you hit the DC area you can expect stop and go traffic and it comes upon you quickly.

    Leave at 8 pm, to get way clear of the Mid-Atlantic region before a.m. rush hour.

    I've done it plenty of times. 20 hours to the panhandle.
