They make great appliances. I have never owned one, but a lot of the builders I work for have been installing them for the home owners. I put a stove in for one customer. Very nice looking. No complaints that I have heard of.Oakie

Our washing machine took a dump yesterday. It just shut off as it was filling up with water. Rather then fix an 18 year old Maytag I figured we'd just go look for a new one. Went to the Sears scratch and dent store. Ended up buying a washer and a 24 cu.ft. bottom freezer refrigerator and the Bosch gas range. Our current fridge which is about 20 years old needed a door gasket as every day there was a puddle of water under the door. Our current gas range is 16 years old and has no balls any more. Put a pot on any of the burners with the ceiling fan on and you'd think that there was a hundred mph wind running through the kitchen. It would almost blow the burners out.
So I guess it was time. Gonna wait a few weeks and then go buy a new dryer. The timer on it doesn't work so you have to remember there is stuff in it or it will run for ever. I guess with all these new appliances I'll save a couple of hundred a year in utilities.

I didn't know Sears even carried them and it was the only one they had.

Interesting post Curt and I'm looking at a kitchen upgrade. I hope some other than Sear's sells them or I better hurry with the purchase!
It's too late for me, save yourself.

We have a Bosch dishwasher too. It's excellent. Quiet and dependable so far. The big plus is it cleans the dishes. If you read some of the reviews of dishwashers, a lot of them are simply dish-rinsers. We bought it a few years ago at Lowes for around $500.

Well we've been thinking on upgrades for awhile. The fridge leaked and the gas range just sucked. I'm thinking the washer taking a dump just helped make everything else easier. I only paid $563 for the Bosch range. Seemed a couple of hundred cheaper then the likes of the other brands they had.

I bought one years ago when the builder grade dishwasher gave up the ghost. It was an outstanding unit. My only complaint was (and this was 10-15yrs ago.) that the parts were very expensive and hard to find. I would bet now that Al Gores wonderful internet invention has really matured that parts are much easier to get.

That said, we recently replaced the dishwasher in this house and while Sears did have several Bosch options, the Kenmore elite got much better ratings in Consumer Reports. This thing is so quiet sometimes I hear a noise and get up to see what it is not realizing the thing is running. All of the Bosch tools and appliances I have owned have always been outstanding.

    Have a dishwasher, very satisfied.

I can't tell when it is running for all intents and purposes.

    Cleans well, too.

Plus 1. I've opened it while it was running
