Elk behind my house

Hard to see in the pic, all I have is my small lense to my camera, forgot the telephoto lense. Hit them with the rangefinder, they are about 600 yards out. There is one nice bull and 8 cows that I can see, they sure do look good in the rifle scope, best magnifyer I have at the moment [:D]
Gonna set up the spotting scope and see if I can get a pic thru it.

Color me jealous.
LOOKS LIKE THE WIND WOULD GET A RUNNING START AND KICK YER *.
Beautiful country I would love to see someday.
This is with the spotting scope and my iphone, best I can get out of about 20 tries.
I just ate my first elk burger the other day. I don't care for deer meat so I wasn't sure how I'd like it. It was good, anyone who never tried it should.
Yes,....I think ground elk tastes a lot like ground bison which I eat all the time.[:p]
See, like this:
We are experiencing more elk down on the grasslands. Wolves have pushed them out of the timbered areas. Right now, Wyoming Game & Fish (aka "Guts 'n' Feathers") is warning motorists of elk on the highway north of Meeteetse. They are wintering all around the highway this year, and are freaking out motorists after dark.
Love those critters.
Take the photo, blow it up to about 2'x3', frame it and hang it on the wall. It would make a wonderful piece of art that is sure to garner compliments for years to come.
