any opinions of the V92 series from a few years ago? Prices? Things to watch out for? reliability?

Oh and before all the Harley lovers come out of the woodwork telling me not to waste my time with a "copycat" bike, I'm just doing research here.

thanks for the input[:D]

Was in getting a new rear tire on my HD, This place just started to carry the Victory Bikes. Can say for a fact they look sharp.

But found out till the end of Sept there is a $2,000 Discount for Veterans.

Cannot find it at there site but did find this.

A dealership has opened in Fredericksburg. Made in the USA by the snowmobile company Polaris. Anyone own one? Comments?

I do not own one but I would bet they are pretty decent!

Arlen Ness has his hands in the company also, and Arlen will not touch junk! He is a firm believer in quality!

I know a cycle mechanic who has lots of training and motorcycle savvy ... he says they are winning over the Harley crowd by the dozens every week. Harley has the reputation (in the minds of some folks) but the Victory bike has everything else! And this is from a man who, yes, could be biased ... but he sees where the action is (the garage and the market place and the road), and I think he knows what he is talking about.

Had the first year model tranny sucked, and they put a new one in for free. Great bike.

They had a rough start the first couple years, but I hear they got the kinks worked out. Their 4wheelers are incredible though. I really like the attitude of the CEO. He challenged the CEOs of other companies (yamaha, bombardier, maybe honda I think) to a competition on their products but none of them took him up on it. Of course he's like a 40 year old white country boy, and they're 80 year old japanese or canadian businessmen.

I see a few of them out here in Calif. darn nice looking bike, Appears to be a little big for this old man, think I will stick to Harley Dyna. If I were younger and there was a dealer around to service them I would probably buy one. If you like it Buy it, I don't think you will be sorry. I think alot of the parts and accessories are Arlen Ness and he won't put his name on junk I don't think. I think I would ride one before I bought it sometimes a person bites off more then they can chew. I see it a lot with Harley riders they buy the biggest they can get and it's more bike then they can handle, and they end up selling it and giving up riding, get a bike that "FITS YOU"

    Just my opinion

Every bike mfgr attempts to copy the Harley Davidson.

Around here the papers are full of used Harley's...It would appear to me that there are far more sellers that buyers....

I'm not sure about them being Canuck owned, but I do know that the bikes are made in Spirit Lake, IA. My uncle works at the plant and I've been through there quite a few times touring their motorcycle and atv lines.

I have a 2000 V92 . The thing that convinced me to buy was the test ride. I've ridden and owned more brands than I should admit to and the Vic is the best yet. It flat out handles and stops. Power is pretty decent too. The best part is when my Honey gets in back that handling and balance is still there. I was a little worried about that , not having her there when I took the test ride , but it worked out .I will probably face the drum shifter problem a couple of years up the pike , but I like the bike so much , I'll likely get it fixed (big ticket job).
Best thing for you is to take the freebie test ride and get a T shirt as well.
