The GOP-dominated House approved the Central American Free Trade Agreement a month after the similarly GOP-dominated Senate approved it.

Bush and Cheney rallied House Republicans to gain the narrow margin of victory for CAFTA, which will allow for freer movement of Central American goods into the United States, stimulate American investment in Central American industry, and remove any tarriffs.

Bush had rallied wavering Republicans by stating that CAFTA was essential to national security.[xx(]

Oh well... Bush won - THANK GOD!

Why don't they just let the illegal aliens carry the goods in? You can't get much freer movement than that.

Actually if the government eliminated "need-based" welfare, immigration quotas and prohibitions on drugs, the majority of problems would resolve themselves.

It seems to me to be an easy fix.

All we, America, have to do is annex everything down to and including the Panama Canal.

Make the agricultural areas into the bread basket for America.

Bring the annexed territories onto the dollar standard and tax the living s---out of all former usa located companies.

Require military service for all males and females that are physically fit and make them our sort of foreign legion. Think of them as cannon fodder for the next US president with a Napoleon like complex.

A little to early in the morning to go into the complete plan.

But yes, we should have plans for Canada also.

I suppose next they will clasify illegals as "goods" allowing them free passage into the US. The sugar industry in our area is very concerned about this. It may break a lot of small farmers.
