I don't like the "newest" GB feel (that includes the pop ups and the "what's the latest gadget"? on active links). Do we really need to plugged in so much, especially to the daily "buy me, get me, give me" sales complex, it's enough to go loco just the same!

We have not changed the ad format in several years. there are 2 placements on the home page and 2 on search and browse. We do not sell pop ups. If you are seeing pop ups then your machine is infected with some sort of malware. Get Malware bytes.

If you want to get rid of the pop-ups on your computer, quit searching all that porn...

My oldest son learned this the hard way as well, when we got him a laptop for Christmas[V]

    Maybe derogatory, I couldn't resist.

I was relieved when he came to me for help and there was nothing crazy searched.

He typed "boobs" in the search engine and I think it was something like "naked boobs".

I have said it before on here, but all you need to do to kill MOST of the internet annoying ads is to use the hosts file hack. What it does is redirect a lot of the internet sites back to your computer where it doesn't find it so it just shows a red x. Check it out:

I use the NoScript add-on for Mozilla Firefox:
    http://noscript.net/

I do not see ads on GunBroker. I do not see pop ups or those moving banners across the screen some other site use.

It can be bothersome at times to have to temporarily allow all scripts on a page to see what the page is about. I'm used to to it though and most of the time the page turns out to be something I do not want to look at anyway.

Hey guys...sorry for the comment, turns out it was my browser that made the change, not GB...
