Under the knife... UPDATE

This morning I'm going to have lens replacement surgery on my left eye. This is not laser surgery - for whatever reason, they do it with a knife. I'm pretty nervous about it...I don't like contemplating the possibilty of blindness.

After my left eye is healed, they will do the same thing to my right eye.

My eye surgeon has been my opthalmologist for about 15 years and I'm very confident of his skill.

They claim thaqt, after I'm all healed up, I may not need to wear glasses, except for reading. I've worn specs for about 51 years.

Please cross your fingers a little for me this morning.

Thank you.

Doug

Well, the worst part of it was getting up to be at the hoapital at 7 AM. Ishould have done it 3 years ago, when I was first diagnosed. ZERO pain - although it's 6 1/2 hours later and the is itching, mildy - guess I'll gently rub it with some steel wool !!

The bandages come off tomorow, so will see then.

Thank you for your prayers, good wishes, and crossed fingers.

You're the BEST

Doug
