About playing Santa Claus. New boots, suspenders. Went in and had my beard and hair fixed up this morning. I'm ready, but no pix's till I get dressed up. Appointments are coming in. So far I have 2 headstart classes, nursing home, and for two different towns, plus several family get togethers lined up to play for. It will be a blast!

Keep up the good work Santa, years ago my dad played Santa at a Company Christmas party and one little guy came up to Santa and Kicked him in the Shin and said Damn you Santa you didn't bring me what I wanted last year. Make sure you wear the shin guards [:D][:D][:D][}:)]

Will the kids be more apt to get their wish, if mommy sits on Santas lap?[^]

Don't know if that works that way or not, but it is one of the perks of the job. Had alot of young mothers sit, hug, and even give Santa a kiss. Oh, What fun! [;)]

If I may ask, do you do this on a volunteer basis or as a side gig?

I provide my service free of charge to certain businesses and organizations. Usually when I go to a residence I ask no more than a few bucks to pay for my gas, and will end up with a $20 bill. I feel this is a way I can give back to the communities where I live. For me, it's just fun.

Your right Tazzer. I can usually break in the shyest kid too. I wear a long beard year round I'll overhear young kids asking their folks if I am Santa Claus.

You sound like a great guy. A good friend of mine plays Santa, too. Local churches arrange for him to gives presents to kids from families that are in rough times. Chokes you up to see another grown man cry when he tells you how his Christmas went. This truly isn't about "stuff", it's about giving and hope and joy.

    Merry Christmas, sir.

This will be my 3rd year playing Santa for our local nursing and rehab center. These older folks really get a kick out of Santa giving them a gift. I have some of the older residence break down and cry when I gave them a gift. It almost breaks my heart. You just gotta love those older folks. They always send me a huge envelope with personal handmade thank you's. The best gift I could ever receive.
