Big contest for the forum!!! Great prize

I just thought I would send some attention to the little idea that is turning into something really cool. If you have checked out the other thread....then you know there is a bit of a contest going on (kind of started out of the blue) and this is only a second thread to explain what is going on.
My daughter put little skulls on an AK-47 stock one day at the gunstore....it sold (to my suprise.) That led to me posting about that and having a pile of these stocks to spare...I thought it would be great to see what others might do with these. If you send me an address I will send a stock out (I will supply 10, but the contest does not have to be limited to ten.)
There are members that have said they will be judges....I am not involved other than to supply some stocks and this prize...A Gerber EPOCH hunter's Hydration Pack with lots of Gerber tools included. It has a 100 ounce tank with an isulated (no leak) tube, A Gerber folding bone saw, the Gerber lariat folding knife, an E-Z zip gut hook, and the Gerber Gator axe....all blades and axe have sheaths included. There is also an L.E.D. headlamp. Very cool prize.
Gonna enter??? I can't wait to see what some of you do with these.

a fair price, I am not rich just a little crazy! [:p][^] Thanks for the help.
1. Work on stock must be performed by the contestant.
2. Stock should be wood; can be painted, a burned on image is a must, and stocks can be modified.
3. Stock must be practical, and durable. (Hey it's an AK; it should be used like one)
4. Pictures of the stock are required, and must be mounted on an AK to be judged.
5. Would be nice, but not necessarily required that someone purchase the stock that you have customized.
I can suggest some rules:
1. Work on stock must be performed by the contestant.

5. Would be nice, but not necessarily required that someone purchase the stock that you have customized.
Auction them off on GB with the proceeds going to ME.[:D]
1. Color picture
2. Contrasting background (one color no objects or people)
3. Pic of the rifle only as close as possible to show the wood
4. No profanity, nudity(kind of like the rules on the forum)
5. Creativity
6. Beauty

Now thats an interesting idea, what if they contestants listed them on GB, and let the market judge them. Highest price wins the prize, this has to be Ok'd by Locust Fork, since he is the one donating 10 stocks at his expense.
"let the market judge them. Highest price wins the prize"
naah, anything goes at an auction, that's way too inconsistent.
"must be mounted on an AK to be judged"
what are you going to do if some of these people that was sent a stock doesn't have an AK to put it on???
I for 1 am entering. But I do not have an ak to mount on. But trust me when I'm done I'll be buying one because my stock will be something to be proud of. May not have an ak in time for judging though. I've allready spent over $500 this month on guns off GB.
I don't know if the sale of the stocks would be a good judge of these....only because of time. Are we going to put a time limit on this? Any moderator feeling like taking this on??? There are 8 stocks in the mail and I know if they are to complete the stocks and then mail them back to me...or not (they can take their own pics if possible)...it will be a little amount of time involved in that alone.
There are two stocks left...and great idea about the voting, but the judges would be needed to handle the "official rules" and making shure every vote was counted and fair (not a bunch of people voting for a friend and multiple votes from one person...)

SEND ME A STOCK PLEASE! [:D] I can do some great wood work, I don't have a rifle to mount it on, but would want to send it back to you to mount on something!

If you e-mail me I will get the last two stocks out...and I still don't have anyone that wants to be the "head judge" (so I guess if nobody comes forward...it will be a vote that decides...only one per member.) Voting will begin whenever we get to see the entries. If you guys are planning on entering a stock of your own...I really would like to know....only so I get an idea of how many contestants there are.
The first stock is the BRAVE one....that will be the thing that gives people an idea of how serious this is....or not.
The auction idea may be a good idea when all is done. If anyone wants to auction them off after this and donate the money to some worthy cause....I am all for it. These will be well worth whatever money they bring and I bet when this is over there will be one or two I will want to buy myself.
I am VERY excited to see the results of these stocks. Best of luck to evveryone!!!
Ummmmm, just a guess, but, ............ you!!!!
I fixed it[:I]
......Very generous prizes that you're putting up. Thanks Kasey.
This all sounds very detailed and I reeaaallllyy need help getting all of this thought out. I am all for anyone who wants to keep the stocks doing so....I think if the effort is being put into doing this, then you should get to keep it. I can come up with a second and third prize. Maybe if the pictures can be sent to a judge to be posted....that way nobody could tell what pic went to which member.
Just let me know how it's going to work and I'll handle my end. I plan on buying an AK just to be able to use the stock when I'm done.
that is concise and perfect... just like our Constitution set forth; Not to mention it is logical
Pictures sent...couldn't load them onto Photobucket....which is the only way I know to get pics on here. I will try something else if this doesn't work.
Contestant #1 stock pictures!!!!
Im not sure, but that stock might offend me!
