I shipped the last handgun I plan on shipping to California today.
I refuse to jump through anymore of the isiotic hoops californi wants to add to the already idiotic string of hoops.
Sad day when citizens allow govewrnment to regulate their rights away.

Not far behind. Washington is sometimes called California North. I have heard O'Rielly refer to Seattle as "San Francisco Lite".

Oregon is invaded. Portland, Salem, Corvalis, and Ashland.....

Around December I went back to Portland for my grandmas funeral and the place seemed loaded down with the hippies.

I won't go to Seattle. Hippies R US.

Good job, MVP. Only by exercising your right NOT to sell to Californians will they ever perhaps realize that something isn't quite right.

Californians especially don't like being told that they can't have something. At the very least it might prompt a few citizens to inquire why they can't have it.

I too agree with your decision.

What really get me about California is when someone gets across the border and his green card, he is home free. Background check? No problem, can't find nada.

    New citizens, another standard.

Don't blame the state alone for this, the CAFR, http://www.cafr.biz/ , pushed this law with CA DOJ to help its members. They do not like out of state competition.

As of Monday I will not ship to CA and I will not accept a CA FFL transfer into my state.

The FFL that I use will not accept from Califorina anymore either he told me yesterday that he was sorry for any inconvenience. I told that I fully understood and backed him 100%

This will benefit the CA dealers and the businesses that see profit opportunity.
Gain is all that matters and the people will suffer but they are getting what they deserve for not demanding their rights be protected.

OK, now you have decided to NOT ship to CA as I ahve also done BUT have you contacted anyone else about it? I contacted the CA DOJ and told them I no longer deal with ANY CA purchases at all, called a distributer of sporting goods (had damn good eals on scopes and lazer range finders) to cancel my account with them and told them WHY, and finally I contacted the NRA who said the knew NADA of this bill. I e-mailed the copies of all the paper work that the CA DOJ sent me so they can initiate a course of action IF they get enough calls complaing about it. SO get off you butts and contact the NRA Special Litigation section to file a formal complaint against CA and this bill as I did so the NRA will get enough complaints to take action in court and have the NRA lobbists to begin to do what they can to get this stupid bill changed. Also IF you buy other things that are none fire arm related from anyone in CA, call them and tell them you plan on using another vendor from anotehr state thanks to CA not wanting non-CA bsinesses to buy or sell to CA. IF you get enough people complaing, it will at least get the bill in teh news. Look at teh paper work you received, the bill was passed in the 2005-2006 session BUT just now getting implemeted in 2008, am I the only one that sees something wrong with that as well.

As to CA electing dumbazzes like Fienstien, look at who elects all the liberal POISes to congress. The vast majority of liveral POSes elected to the US Congress are elected from districts that are 2-5 times higher in people who EXPECT and receive free hand outs from the government. Look at teh Consertives that are elected and they have a 80% chance of coming from a district where 90% of the voting people pay taxes and are NOT on any entitlement program. That says a lot about this country.

Instead of ignoring us, why don't you help us?

It's getting harder and harder to live here, but I refuse to leave the state that I love and allow it to get overrun with illegals. Because once California falls, other states will follow. We have to fight the Government here on everything. The state government had record revenues, but still managed to put us in a several billion dollar debt. While racking up this debt they still manage to create and expand ridiculous social programs.

So, this is a call for help. California is still one the largest economies in the world. If it falls apart, it will seriously effect the rest of the US. We can't give up on it. California is a great state, but it will take some work to get it back to normal.

Gun owners are a minority out here. Kind of hard to get anybody off that fence when they have no chance of ever owning a firearm. Besides, would you let the guy next door have the upperhand or would you vote for gun control legislation if you were unarmed? Isn't that kind of what we are doing when we try to prevent any middle eastern country from obtaining a Nuclear Weapon. It also doesn't help that almost every bit of BLM land is being closed down to save the tooty fruity horned bunny rabbit or for a fire danger.

Besides, we've got a bunch of elitist that think CA is the progressive test bed for everything from smog laws to bans on plastic bags to ammunition bans to porn and beer taxes.

The people out here will vote for anybody who can save them from a home foreclosure, even if that means giving up the right to own a firearm. That right doesn't matter one twit to somebody who doesn't own or has never fired a firearm.

Once they neuter 100% of the CA citizenry and the rest of the country is accustomed to that idea, they'll work on your state. Hell, the dems got a federal Assault Weapons Ban through last time they were in the oval office. If it is so easy for us to defeat stuff like that in CA, how did it get through on the federal level???

Just up and moving isn't that easy. Why don't you move out here and vote? I put in for an out of state transfer a year ago, but the economy isn't as strong anywhere else as it is here. My company is laying off people all over the country while my district is in a hiring frenzy. I've got a house that has been on the market for the past 8 months, and I've got my life savings tied up in it.

But there will always be somebody willing to sell to us, and yes prices will be higher. But that is just par for the course out here.

I hate it for all you alls troubles out there, but thats what you get for living in that state. I once lived in Chicago, once, I won't go back. We have not given up on you, we have given up on your government. Kalifornia will need us before we need them, thats for sure. You all don't have anything I need out there. If you want to move, come on, we will welcome you with open arms, I will even give you some high capacity mags if you come, but I won't move out there and stand beside you as all those folks ruin their own place. Good luck.
