Arex RexZero pistols

Anybody have any trigger time on the Arex RexZero pistols? They just introduced a compact model, similar to the Sig P229 size.

Other that the ability to carry the Arex cocked and locked, I don't see where they are much different than the Sig P226/P229.

The price is a little better than the Sigs, but there are some excellent buys on used LEO Sigs on the auction side. [;)]

The Arex looks good on video, but I have yet to inspect one. I know that Sigs are good to go for the most part. [8D][;)]

New Arex vs. used Sig. What to do??[?] Used Sig P229's in .40S&W are going for very reasonable prices![:0]

As a Sig guy I would not have an EDC with a safety so these are a no go for me

The price is decent and the promos suggest it is well made but there is no real support, no spare parts and extra mags are hard to come by and I am a loads of mags per gun person

It is a better made clone but it is still a clone

I have no issues with an external safety as I carry a 1911 and a BHP sometimes. The Arex or Sig I am interested in would be for my wife to carry in her purse. I don't like off body carry, but there is no way she will wear a holster. Striker fired is out for her, as is any cocked and locked carry.

So it is down to DA/SA or revolver.

With the Arex being new and unproven, I might just go with a used P229 in .40S&W for her.

There are some super buys on Sig 40's as LE is dropping the 40 like it caught the flu

Check GB but I know there are some p229 SAS (Sig Anti Snag)the carry no rail in 40 for under $600.00. The 9MM version is 200 more

Another consideration would be the P225A-1 a single stack with 8 round mag in 9MM. She might like the weight while it is still a normal size

The long DA makes it much safer than striker fire.

I train a lot in close quarter drills. it is interesting how one does not feel the difference in a 10+ pound DA and a 4LB SA when running high stress drills

I bought 3 of Sig clones made by Zastava the CZ999 and they are crude but more Sig like in no safety DA/SA and stoutly made with a cheap price tag. But again, no real support or spares and mags are hard to find

I agree about the long DA trigger pull, my wife is a new shooter and the long trigger pull of a DA revolver or DA auto is ideal.

I had a Sig P6 ten or so years ago when they were surplus. That was an excellent pistol, but magazines were expensive.

I think a used LEO P229 .40S&W is the ticket for my wife. [:)]

Cheap brass and I have a Lee 6 cavity mold.[:)]

If she doesn't like the P229 I know I do![;)]

LOL, I also had a P6 ten+ years ago and sold it because finding mags was hard and way too much $
