Shipping Primers and Loaded Ammunition

Private owner. No FFL or other "official status".
Transitioning from my centerfire handguns to a nearly exclusive rimfire battery and have quantities of fresh primers and loaded ammunition. Thinking I may be able to sell the ammo "as components", though in 50 years of reloading I've never had a problem.
If I list on G.B. for auction, is there a way I can ship them myself?
Go through an FFL dealer like I have with guns, or just bury it?
Were talking several hundred .44 Magnum founds and several thousand
large pistol primers; both standard and magnum.
Any advice greatly appreciated.[:D]

My problem when buying primers and powder from guys is I want to know how it was stored. I have primers that are 20-30 years old but they have been stored in meal ammo cans with a desiccant packet inside and that packet is checked and restored every year.
Regular small arms ammo, up to 66 pounds, can be shipped UPS or FedEx GROUND without becoming a big deal.
PRIMERS on their own CAN mass detonate- and they ARE HAZMAT. Many hassles and cost- as said, sell locally.
Under NO circumstances do you want to use the US Mail for ammo.
Something you might want to check.

IIRC, you can't legally sell your reloads without a manufacturer's license from BATF.

You are correct you cannot(And shouldn't) sell reloads but you can break them down and sell the components.
I think if it me I would just shoot them and sell the brass.
Anyone that is stupid enough to buy reloads and shoot them needs their head examined IMO. But I would have no problems buying them and breaking them down especially if it is good brass and bullets, I would chuck the powder in the garden but I would trust the primers if they looked good.
That means you can not go to a shipper like UPS or FedEx and use their license.
It means you would have to find a Hazmat licensed dealer like a reloading company who would be willing to ship them for you with their license.
Good luck unless you know such a person who will trust your expertise as they become responsible for what is shipped.
Meaning, sell locally FTF and I don't care how well you stored your powder or primers I am not buying old stuff unless it is a real deal.
Older, discontinued 1Lb sealed containers sell for about $10.00 a pound and primers about $10.00/K if the boxes are in very nice condition
Sell reloads to people who know you. Taking the time to disassemble is not worth the time.
Pulled bullets will sell for 2-3cents and primed cases need to be resized (Without primer remover pin)
This is a tough market for new stuff so old components are even harder to move
