This was one of my first turkey calls that I made. Doesn't sound the greatest but she sure is beautiful. I want it to go to a good home to someone who will appriciate it.I learned to make calls when I was home with a broken back and have since turned it into a small bussiness. I will try to tune it a little better before you receive it.My wife will pull a name out of a hat new years eve. Oakie

I believe your gun was made in 1896 so it is an antique and no cr or ffl is needed.
Be advised, per the serial number, this rifle WAS manufactured in 1899.
Vet.
I checked 3 different websites and all three say 1896.????????

Babun, including The BlueBook of Gun Values, they all use the flawed Madis info. What he didn't have, he made up. BertH and some others found the microfilm records in the Cody Museum basement, that some unknown hero at Winchester had the forethought to make, of all the polishing room records. The polishing room was where the firearm received it's serial number, and the true DOM.
Bert Hartman and Larry Shennum co-authored "The Redbook of Winchester Values". The book contains the correct DOM for all the pre-1964 Winchesters that were serial numbered.

Yes there is.
I haven't seen a copy yet, but I believe Bert finally got the BlueBook to include the new numbers along side the Madis info. A lot of collectors are pizzed off now, because their more valuable "antique" is now a C&R.
