I don't like this!

Since my last cancer surgery, I have been doing blood tests every 30 or 45 days. All have been clear and the nurse calls and leaves me a message, " Mr. Heffley, this is Kelly at Dr. Johnston's office. Just wanted to let you know your blood work came back and it is clear. Call us to set up your next appointment."

Todays message? "Hello Mr. Heffley, this is Kelly at Dr. Johnston's office. The doctor needs you to come in Friday at 2:00 to discuss your last blood test. If you can't make it, please call us so we can see if we can get you in either sometime today or no later than Monday."

Okay, What would make me feel warm and fuzzy after that message?

I hate this crap![V]

You aren't going to feel warm and fuzzy until you get some answers. You might want to call the office and see what they will tell you now over the phone, but my experience in that regard has been less than successful. We'll hope for the best for you, and be sure to let us know what you find out. Good Luck Danny.[:)]

Already called her. She said she doesn't know what the doctor wants, but he told her to get me in no later than Monday. He isn't in the office today, but she said he would meet me there late this evening if that was the best I could do. I told her I would be in tomorrow afternoon.

Won't get much sleep tonight. She was real evasive and wouldn't answer any of my questions.[V]

Keep the positive attitude that you have had all along and hopefully it's nothing. Best of luck.

Doctor did that to my wife too. Some thing about changing her meds. Because there was to much build up of the med. she was taaking. Sometimes DDocs. and nurses don't think from your point of view.

Dan, the best optimistic factors that I see at this moment in time concern the location and the timing. If this was something that was immediately life threatening, you would think that they would have you report to a hospital without delay. If they thought the tests revealed something that had no hope, I wouldn't think they would be as concerned with speed as they seem to be. I know this is not much help, but it is something to mull over while a thousand thoughts rush through your mind. You hang in there and do the best that you can not to borrow trouble. We'll be thinking of you up here in the Northland.

Hey Bud,, dont worry the Freakin doctors down here wont give you the results of a blood test or any other test for that matter over the phone and its against the rules for Nurses or any of the doctors staff to inform you of the results of any test.. Just another way to get paid for another office visit..You will go there and he will tell you every thing is fine, thatl be 150.00 bucks,[:0]

I had almost the same thing happen and it turned out the insurance had denied a claim and they wanted to be paid. Freaked me out!

I will cross my fingers for you, man. Prayers going out hard and fast.

We all will keep a "Warm and Fuzzy Feeling" for you in the hopes that it is either nothing or just a little something that the doctor, remember they are "practicing medicine" that means they don't have it all down pat yet, wants to fiddle with.

heff, with all the work they've done on you (and the money they made from it), the Doc 'prolly just wants to try to talk you into an "oil change" and "4 tire rotation" before the "summer driving season" *LOL*
Don't read more into it than there is (wanting to talk with you about a Meds change sounds like a likely suspect!), maintain a positive attitude, get back w/the Doc ASAP , I'm sure it's nothing major [:)]

Probably means nothing, the doctors see soo many patients they have no feelings.

I'd go and find the doc, no matter what golf course he happens to be on and get some answers or a good explaination. Wouldn't be no waiting for Monday to come rolling around.

I work in the service industry and the good doctor couldn't possibly wait for the following day to have his generator serviced/repaired. I'd think you are much more valuable than any of his toys or even a golf game.
