That's an interesting picture, especially since (if my information is correct) he was a draft dodger.

I don't know if he was a draft dodger or not but I got that picture from his web site. In fact it is also set as my wallpaper.

I watched alot of the shows that were on last night. Was up and couldnt sleep anyways.

I lost alot of respect for him in the first couple of shows.

He had a large Stihl chainsaw with an extremely long bar on it. He cut a small 10-12" diameter tree. He had no idea what he was doing, did not cut it correctly, no hinge, no idea where it would fall. Hit two of the contestants on the way down and cut his knee open with the chainsaw.

He screamed that they needed a medic down here. The girls that were hit by the falling tree said they were fine, and he says, "Well Im not". It was his fault about the tree, but showed no sympathy about dropping a tree on them.

Next he decided to have a game of chicken between a running contestant and a GMC Jimmy. The first contestant got creamed by the Jimmy at 30+ MPH. He showed no remorse or compassion to the guy.

The first Nugent series was not at all like this. I think that the producers told him he needed to spice it up more.

Plus if he actually let a backwoods boy participate in any of his shows, they would probably show him up. Shoveling horse crap is no big deal to me, neither is gutting a boar or deer. The taxidermy is something I would have liked to learn.

I really used to like the guy and thought he knew what he was doing even though he was eccentric. Now I dont know what I think about him.

I ain't so sure I want Ted Nugent representing me.

Charleton Heston was fine by me.

Gun owners need a new image if we want to battle gun control effectively. People see us as a bunch of pickup driving, curse yelling, ultra conservative, whackos.

OK so maybe we are, but I aspire to greater heights
