Too many plans will be too hard to remember under stress. In case of an intruder, I'll just set the house on fire so we can use the same plan for intruder/fire drill.

We do neither. We should but we don't. I'll tell you though, the chances of an intruder coming in when somebody is home around here is only slightly better than the chance of you-know-where freezing over.

How many actually have a fire extinguisher in their home?
I see MANY people that do NOT have any.
    More than one?
    We have several, strategically located.

    Oops......yes.

Actualy we do have 1 fire extinguisher in the kitchen should probably have one upstairs as well. We have to have the 1 because of daycare we also do fire drills.

Another thing a fire extinquisher should be checked every year, alot of times its free and at most will cost you 40 bucks for a new extinquisher if your old one is bad. We have only gotten 1 new one in 15 years the old one was purged and refilled 2 or 3 times however.

I carry two extinguishers in my truck. I must have at least three or four in the garage, but none actually in in my house.

We have a fire escape plan. Basically I've told my kids that in the event of fire/smoke, if they can't access the other bedrooms to alert the other family members, then save themselves by climbing out a window (I have impact resistent casement windows for hurricane protection) and then bang as hard as they can on all the other bedrooms. Of course I have smoke and carbon monoxide detectors as well as fire extinguishers.

I don't have an "intruder plan". I'm all up for suggestions.
