See what you made me do, .375 H&H

When reading this thread https://forums.GunBroker.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=687745 I just naturally had to go over to the auction side and drool over the .375 H&H's. Found this http://www.GunBroker.com/item/609536573 and couldn't make myself pass it up.

Seemed like a decent buy with the ammo included. When I take care of business tomorrow it should be on it's way soon. This will get me into the .375, a caliber I've only shot a couple of times and never hunted with but always wanted. I'll see what this rifle does and consider whether to look up an old classic down the road.

Dang, with all that EXTRA that seems to be a skookum good deal. [^][^]

I may have to buy another 375 barrel for my Encore just to feel acceptable around these lofty parts. [;)]

Holy crap...10 boxes of factory ammo at about $55 each, 90 casings at a buck each, and the dies at say $75...

You paid about $85 for the rifle.

I'll have to go down and pull mine out of the safe. Always good to have a 375 around. You know in case of a rampaging circus elephant, lion escaped from a zoo.

Ya can never be too careful.

Muzzle Brake. Enough ammo there for a lifetime of shooting.

I seen that, I've never heard of one either. He has a .300 wsm savage 16 with a nikon scope some ammo, brass and dies that may be a decent buy. I already have a .300 wsm. Told a young guy at work about it but he doesn't have the cash right now.

Scout5, the factory ammo is likely all the full-power stuff you'll ever need. Pick up some of those Speer 235s and maybe even some of the 220 Hornady bullets made for the .375 Winchester. Those can be your practice/fun/deer bullets.

That 220 Hornady at 2100 fps is no slouch on deer and hogs, btw. Creampuff load on the shoulder, hammer load out front.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

You missed the one I sold last year. It only had a couple rounds through it. That gun was mint. The guy that bought it from me, sent me a email asking if I really shot it. It was that clean. Almost gave it away. Sold it on GunBroker[^] Oakie

The deal of the year came early for ya [:)]
    Had one in a model 70 ( sold / gone [:(] )
but still have one in a Browning A bolt , I gave up the 300 gr & 270 gr. bullets and started shooting Speer 235 gr. & Sierra's 250 gr. bullets . My powder of choice for both rifles was / is IMR 4064 . Your mileage may very [:o)]
