    Great cartridge for the woods.

The Savage 170 is a neat gun but it has problems. Its noisy and trigger sucks. When I say noisy I mean the forend rattles and makes noise. I have one in 30 WCF.

Savage 170 was my first center fired rifle. to a teen age boy it was the best rifle in the world. Still have it and it has shot a lot of deer and coyotes. The 30-30 version has been known to have feeding problems the .35 doesn't seem to have that problem.

A great cartridge with an edge over the 30-30. Been around close to a century now.

I just picked up a Marlin 336 .35 Remington! I put 12 rounds down range with it today. It shot great and leaves a nice, big hole with .30-30 type recoil. Who says a younger fella can't like older things! [:)]
