Stopped by gun shop today....

Stopped in to buy a couple boxes of .204 ammo. (17.99 a box..GEEEZ)
Next thing I know I'm holding guns. Came so close to buying an XD .45. I really like the way it felt. They also had a nice Desert eagle 50 AE. Boy thats a big gun. Gonna give the XD some serious thought. The 50 might make a good carry gun tho....

    XD...or XDM....there is a new one out and the older models will be traded in (going for screaming deals very soon.) The 50 cal is fun, but 90% of the people who buy them from me end up trading them in the next year because they aren't practical for anything.

    This was the .45. It was the xd. They had $529 on it. I think the xdm is only out in 40 right now....

    the 50 is a love it or hate it gun. some just cant handle it.[;)]

    I stopped in a pawnshop yesterday. They had USED Rock Island 1911 for $500.!!!!
    Told I'd toddle down the road and buy a NEW one for $389.

    i passed on a compact rock island a while back for $250. sorta wish i had picked it up

    the springfield xd-m is only available in .40 right now. Ya dont buy the desert eagle i got a friend that wants to geto ne and im doing everything i can to keep him from doing it cause its a waste of money. But the xd is an amazing pistol, its going to be one of the next ones i get.

    MAYBE THE PROBLEM some people have with the DESERT EAGLE 50 is.

    IS IT IS A FULL GROWN GUN AND MAY NEED A FULL GROWN SHOOTER

    Agreered the 50 is a hand full and not a plinking gun but the 460 , 500 , 45/70 are not either. they just fit smaller hands.

    I would look for a range that maybe rents guns and try some out before i took someone's word for it and spent big bucks for a turd,
    because what one shooter cant handle another might like.

    Some here might say GET A GLOCK because they don't like the XD.

    Do some research ask ????? then buy the gun you want not one your buddy wants you to buy. me i'll have a glock and a 460 one day

    Didn't check to see were you are at but if you were close to me you are welcome to try any of mine out. XD40 OR XD45 are great

    The XD-M is only offered in .40 S&W and it will NOT be replacing the current line of XD's. It is just another model added to the current line. This came directly from my sales rep at Springfield.

    You want to pack some punch in a regular sized pistol, look at the 10mm auto round and Double Tap ammunition.[;)] Good little plinking, self-defense, and hunting round.
