Aside from maybe a "Golden" great family dogs. I had all black Labs. Duck hunted & field trailed them, great smart dogs. Have several buried along the fence line. Unfortunitly the breeders started breeding for brains and not "lines". Hard to find the old stout noised, heavy bodied short heavy tailed Lab today[:(!]
