What happened to Winchester?

If this was posted/answered, point me to the thread. I have an old Winchester pump 1200 and I love it. But I wanted a newer one with a 28" barrel, i.e., the 1300. According to my Hunting Magazine, they are no longer making the lever action 94, Model 70 rifle, or the pump 1300!

For HeDog: Thanks, and, after checking out those links, I really should have checked first. Again, if the administrator wants to delete this thread, fine by me. I'll pay more attention next time. I did kind of learn one thing, I really like the looks and feel of the 1300 but if its not up to snuff...a local gun shop told me to stay away from it and go with the Mossberg pump instead.

The winchester 1300 is an awesome shotgun. I have one in .12 and one in .20. I have consistantly hit 23/25 on the skeet range with my .12. Have had no jams with it at all.

I got mine at wal mart(it was a gift)

I got one of those 1300's in the "Black Shadow" dress. All black with syn stock. It was cheap. It also has more recoil than any shotgun I have ever fired. Went to pattern in and ended up with a bruised shoulder AND a bruised cheek! I really looks great in the back corner of the safe though. Even got a slug barrel with it (also on sale) for hunting states where rifles cannot be used. Slugs? I shudder to think.

I would stick with an 870 or an 1100, if I were getting anything but double guns.

now that a winchester thread is back,i have in my possesion probably the only 2 2006 winchester catalogs.should i put them on auction today or wait till next week when the price really soars?
