Gun Case Reccomendations

I am looking for a custom gun case maker that will make a custom fitted interior for a pistol and accessories. I have looked on google but not really found what I am looking for. I may just get the pick and pluck style but would prefer a custom cut/molded foam interior.

Thanks!

I don't think this is really what you are looking for but...

Starlight cases can be customized by the owner. They come with solid foam blocks that fill the interior and a box cutter to use to cut the foam into the desired shape. I have one of their 4 rifle cases and they are pretty easy to customize. All you do is put the gun and accesories on the foam, trace them with chalk, and then cut out the designs.

pretty simple to make your own if you have a case of some kind.
have a fairly nice one i made from an empty socket set case. it is pretty solid, locking "ears" as plastic cases have...just took couple layers of foam, cut outlines of pistol and mags to create formed pockets for them. use 1/2"-1" foam. closed cell wiwll be firmer for heavier weapons, open cell is more "giveing".
you could also use spray adhesive like used for auto headliners to cover with fabric if you want to get fancy.
dont forget a layer of foam for the lid

Well I like Aluminum Gun Cases and ICC makes nice ones and they sell factory seconds (blemish or a ding). Not like you ain't gonna put those on your self[:D]. Then if you like plastic Pelican is the way (and they too have factory seconds). Yeah I know I sound cheap (and I suppose I am) but if it's only cosmetic screw it[;)].

Now ICC will make any size you want and different guage Aluminum thickness, too. They also make cases for other places to sell so they'll be labled otherwise. Like Cabella's used to have them make it so I have one with Cabella's on it.

As for the foam being "Custom Cut" I don't know anyone who does it since the case makers has to keep stencils around. Personally I'd go with memmory foam (Tempur-Pedic) since it's 2" thick and doesn't need to be cut.

you can park an 18 wheeler on a pelican case and not even crack it. guaranteed for life. you break it, they replace it.

I think starlight cases are the same thing, just different brand. On the up side, I believe starlight is owned by a vet.

If your gun is damaged during this type event, then the company would replace it free of charge.[:o)]

The Barrett I sold here on Gun Broker had a Starlite case....it was pretty cool. I really liked it.

Anyone here ever see a case designed to carry several handguns....I need one to get different things from here to home every once in a while, but its not going to help me much for the case to fit certain guns and not others....maybe slots the guns could slide into...so it could fit 2" rev, 1911 45acp, and larger revolvers also.

Do you guys think straight slits in the foam would do in one of those roll around pelican cases? I want a deep case that you can put the gun in barrel down...not stacked on top of each other. So I can get to one gun without having to dig through all of them.

Yeah, well Starlight has pics of a tank running over theirs without damage.[:D]

Seriously though, check out their site linked above, they have a custom foam section that might be what your looking for, or contact them and see if they can do what you want. I've had mine for a while now and love it! I've handled Pelican cases as well, and while they are just fine, the Starlight feels tougher and more sturdy, to me.
