If you're old or pregnant you should throw out your cantaloupes if they came from Jensen Farms or their resellers.

Don't buy the hype. My wife's pregnant and we live in CO and eat CO cantaloupes regularly, including ones that were supposed to recalled, and we're fine.

Did you read the part about the incubation period?

Hell, I know men who survived Viet Nam.

Does that mean war is safe?

Listeria can incubate in humans for up to a month before you see any symptoms.

Median age of victims is 78.

if you wash and clean them on the outside you will be fine
it is not on the inside of the cantolope that has the listeria
    it is on the outside.
but you still need to side with caution.

After you folks heard the reports and all, you both continued eating the recalled fruit? [:(]

Really seems to demonstrate the value you put either on nice tasting fruit ... or lessened value on life. [:(]

Se le ve ... impressive. [:(]

[;)] [}:)] [;)] So do you both work for the Colorado Fruit Growers Association? [V] [:(] [:(!]
