Recurve Bows

Anybody collect/hunt with recurve bows? I have a couple older Ben Pearson's and a really nice newer PSE Kudu Takedown model.....I'm looking to get rid of 2 of the 3. I was going to start a nice little collection, but I have too many other irons in the fire and am clearing some space. If you might be interested, shoot me an email or let me know here. I can get you more specific details and pictures. Then maybe we could work out a price and I can list 1 or 2 of them on the auction side. I'm sure they will be fun to ship! [:D]

We have a bow club and shooting matches at our church. There is a older gentleman that shoots a recurve bow at the monthly shoots. I will ask him if he is interested. He is an excellent shot with one.

years ago I used a Ben Pearson Master mag 45# recurve. My best shot got a pheasant with a blunt head arrow. Couldn't draw it now with my shoulder. Last used it with a homemade coffee can reel to shoot carp. Miss that bow.

5 Years ago I harvested 2 does with my Recurve bow. At the time I was shooting every day for about an hour.

Mine is a Vista Sage 50# takedown. It pulls about 47# in real life.

I took it Turkey hunting a few time but I have not been able to egt it into position on a bird.

I keep my shots close 15-30 yds and I don't use a sight or a release.

I quit hunting with it a few years ago and I just target shoot with it in the fall and early winter when I have time.
