3,000 "Chicago-style" pizzas to Iraq and Afghanistan. For the troops.Just on the news,pizzas should be there by JULY 4. He was going to send 300, but someone got-up a collection and now it's up to 3,000!!
Man,,, i'd LOVE to see those men & women tear into those pizzas!!

    Daughter just got back from there, and they were hating the pizzas they had there, cause they were forced to use GOAT CHEESE in the recipes, instead of the usual Mozzarella, provolone and such that they are used to.

    3000 of the right sort will be snarfed the first day!

    Awww man, i hope they let the pizzas through. The ones this guy is making are the "real-deal". I suppose the cargo plane will fly them right to a US base, them pizzas will be gone b/4 the "Ghanies" even know they've hit the ground![;)] Wish we could send a few hundred kegs of beer along with them pizzas!![:p]

    They'll probably land right where Crystal was: Balad. Honestly, there might be a Riot!!! They really wanted pizzas, and just couldn't gag down the Goat Cheese! That is where her unit had their welcome home party - the Pizza parlor. They got totally drunk and disorderly! Two men in her unit got chewed out for DUI arrests that night! The whole unit got a stern talking to about being good wingmen, blah, blah, blah....

    They really should have a decompression playpen for those who come back, - good for a week of craziness.

    thats pretty cool hope i get one lol. Ya the goat cheese pizza isnt the best thats for dam sure. Just like they serve "catfish" you tell me how an arabic guy knows how to properly cook catfish and yet cant speak english, idk just seems odd to me.

    The sauce can make or break a pizza, and over there, they don't realize that putting only enough sauce on the crust to make it red is not enough to make a good pizza. More than once I wanted to break into the pizza shop so I could show them how a GOOD pizza was made.

    By the time the soldiers that spend their days "outside the wire" get back, there will be nothing left......

    My Daughter ASKED to go out the perimeter - was denied, because of her MOS - Security, blah blah...

    She is a Comm/Tech Wiz, and fixes the box where live all the electronics that keep an eye on every blesset thing that flies above Iraq. She wanted to go out the gate for a real eyeball on whut's up now. She had some Marines who said she could ride, if she got clearance, but no joy...
