Apparently I was wrong on it, as that's the same website the .gov website directs you to.

That's a legitimate site and they need your SS # to prevent any confusion with someone who may have the same name as you.

The "https" prefix means it's a secure, encrypted address.

Search their site for the official link ot the real deal free credit report.
