Wal Mart & Memorial Day

My wife and I have been stewing a bit about this all day, and I thought I'd ask what ya'll think before a letter is written to the local paper. (not that it would do any good)

The local Sunday newspaper, like most, have the bulk of business' sale flyers on Sunday. On the Wal Mart sales flyer front page is a family setting. An hispanic man wearing a Starter jersey, emblazoned 'MEXICO' across the front. He's watching a soccer game on his big screen TV, the players wearing the same color jersey. A little boy wearing a green outfit, is holding a soccer ball. A blonde woman, also dressed in green, is smiling while she watches the game looking over the man's shoulder. A small stand with a group of Mexican flags is next to the TV.

On Memorial Day Weekend?? Wal Mart devotes the front page of their sales flyer to MEXICO??

With all the uproar over illegals, most of which are from Mexico, you'd think someone at Wal Mart would have thought better of this.

Wal Mart will never miss it, but it'll be a COLD day in HELL before I step foot in one of their stores again.

The advertisement in and of itself is OK, but running it on Memorial Day Weekend is at best in bad taste. Write the letter.

there are 52 million people in america that are of hispanic origin. hispanics are the fastest growing group in america and they are projected to have 85 million in the next 5-8 years. its a business move. walmart knows who their customers are and who they will be.

It's a dumb move. They could have run the ad next week and had the same suck up effect on the Mexicans. Running it this week causes a bunch of their customers to get all piss off. If their attitude is losing a few customers is no big deal, they are correct. But after you lose a few customers a few million times, it becomes a bankruptcy big deal. It has happened before to companies who thought they were too big to get hurt.

I HAD to check the Wal-Mart flyer we got with our paper, out of curiosity, mostly white folks*LOL*
FWIW, I already limit my purchases at that place as much as is reasonable, for a variety of reasons. This just ads to the reasons WHY I hate Wal-Mart.

Anyone else have proof of this?
So how many Wal-Marts are in you area? We will soon have at least 6 in one county. The two newest ones will be built 5 miles apart! [:0][:(!]

    Capitalism.

If white folk weren't so stupid they would use their head for something besides a hat rack and shop else where's.

Writing letters is a waste of time. All they see is $$$.

They don't care if it comes from citizens or illegals. Money is money.
