    bad day for some free food for others


    I remember maybe 20 years ? ago they had photos of huge corn piles out side of granaries lack of room to store it some were just plain huge to say the least they said the corn would be ok even if it rained that the corn would produce a "wax" coating to protect it
    maybe they cut way back on production or the farmers and processors added more storage since then as I have not heard of such for many years

    They have vacuum trucks that can suck up most of that.

    It will be used for animal food.

    Around here that is still standard practice every year. Every local elevator has huge, huge piles of corn outside of them.

    It's quite common to pile corn, beans, or wheat on the ground when they run out of bin space. Millions of bushels get stored on the ground. Dave
